Cēsis City Flag

Cēsis City flag is a rectangular fabric with width :height proportion - 2 :1. The flag is bipartite; On the background, which is in the colour of the State flag, there is a straight cross in white with a squabbled vertical ass line in the direction of flags fastening. The vertical and horizontal lines of the cross form a square on the right side. The width of the vertical and horizontal lines against flags height is 1: 5. Cēsis City Coat of Arms is placed in the centre of the cross. The height of arm is 6: 10 from the flags height; arms height is 6: 10 from the flags height Size of the flag is 1.0 X 2.0m. Size of the little table flag is 14 x 28cm and its proportions correspond with the proportions and description of the City flag.
Cēsis City flag was approved on 12 April, 2001 by the Cēsis City Council (session protocol No.13 &8 )

Cēsis City Logo

The symbol of the Cēsis town is a stylized image of the Cēsis town identity the Cēsis castle ruins: the composition is surrounded from three sides by a stylized black contour of the Western tower of the Cēsis castle ruin; inside the contour, there is a regular colour field in the prime colour of the Cēsis town flag; the colour field is crested with the name Cēsis; the colour field is concluded with the inscription ANNO 1206; and, finally, there is a stylized white contour of the Cēsis castle stone walls inside the colour field.
